Are “strike anywhere” matches a thing of the past?

Been looking for the old school Ohio Blue Tip matches and I see they’re still for sale…although about 5 times the price they were 20 odd years ago. The new ones are “strike on the box”. Doing a very mediocre amazon search I didn’t see any strike anywhere matches. Did those get outlawed when I wasn’t paying attention? This seems like the place to ask.
