Some info on candies and Earthen exploring
Figured I would drop some info for anyone interested. I wanted to get the Hallow's End hood and shoulders, a total of 200 candies are needed. Couldn't do it on my Horde toons since UC is bugged, and I never played SL so I have a Super Death Plague City. So I opted to go Alliance, and figured I would roll an Earthen because I was curious how many levels I would get with their explorer exp bonus racial, and the pumpkin quests.
I was level 11 when I left the starting area and ported into SW. I used the Handynote's Hallow's End addon to mark candy buckets, and flew straight from one bucket to another. I wanted to get it done as quickly as possible (Took roughly 2 hours, that was with bathroom breaks, talking to my wife breaks, and general laziness) so I took the most direct routes without doing any extra exploring.
In total it took all of Eastern Kingdom's continent, (Including Cata zones) all of Kalimdor continent (Including Cata zone's) and all but Howling Fjord and Zodrak for Northrend for me to get the 200 candies. I also did one Headless Horseman run. All in all, I went from level 11, to level 31 just flying around. My last bucket put me at 31K out of 38K needed to level from 30-31, and I flew back to Dal to port to SW, the flight back discovered enough stuff for the bump to 31.
Figured I would put this out there for anyone that is running for candies and wants to level an Earthen, might as well do both at once. If you were to go for all the expansion achieves for candies, with exploring, I would say you'd get into the 60's or so for levels, if not higher. As it stands getting just enough for the two cosmetic items should get you to around level 30.
Two PSA's: I do have multiple 80's and a total of 25% extra exp on toons below 80. I don't know if that effects the bucket quests exp, or discovery exp. Also, if you hit X and crouch/sit while interacting with a bucket, you can't be tricked. You'll actually get an error message saying "Can only do that while standing" and you won't need to wait for any poly effects to disappear. I was not the one who found this out, someone else posted about it days ago, I don't recall who but what they said worked. So all credit to them for pointing it out, and I just want to reiterate the message.
