To be perfectly honest, being able to lift patients off the ground, move them, and your equipment is a large part of the job (especially as an EMT). You won’t be expected to do it yourself but will need to pull your weight. I’d highly recommend you not stress about this but start tracking your macros to ensure you’re eating enough and get a gym membership.

I appreciate the honesty. I’m honestly falling back into my deep suicidal thoughts because of this. I’m really starting to doubt if I can do this even if I gain weight and train my strength. I just broke down and cried a few minutes ago before writing this comment while it’s 4am, I feel like such shit. I have class in a few hours and I can’t even sleep anymore. I’ve already lived my life being this small with a myriad of other thoughts and now realizing it may be a big physical barrier to something I want to do is making me feel things nobody should have to feel. I am reading these comments, I just don’t feel like I even have the mental strength to reply to most of them. I’m in such denial right now I just wanna scream my lungs out in my dorm like bloody murder and throw my stuff around the room. I’m just going to start tearing up again while I write this. Welp
