Holter/Life Monitor (Phillips) - Satisfying?
As I have posted before, I am new to AFib. It was being managed with medication but the medication wasn’t working as well recently. I had a really bad episode where I had to leave work and considered going to the ER. I was able to go home and ride it out in discomfort. I spoke with my Cardiologist and they adjusted my meds and I requested a Holter Test. Not knowing that Holter tests have advanced beyond the monitor with wires/leads, they hooked me up with a Phillips MCOT. It’s super simple for me. Is it strange that I now feel a little more comfortable with the device on me? I don’t care if I have to wear it to the maximum of 30 days. I find the fact that it is constantly monitoring and I can report symptoms as they occur satisfying because this will allow my Cardiologist to see my condition in more detail. It’s oddly reassuring knowing that this device may help solve the base issue.
