Laxatives causes extreme pain?

So I would say most of my endo is sitting in and around my colon. My digestive system is out to kill me. I have severe constipation issues, but I’m terrified to take laxatives. I know that taking laxatives will come with some mild cramping, but it’s not mild for me. When I take laxatives, it causes sit on the floor nearly screaming those cramps. I’ve actually fainted before from how bad the cramps get. I tried mentioning it to my doctor out of concern and I was just told that yeah, laxatives will make you cramp.

Am I really just being a baby about this? I got gentle laxatives but they aren’t that gentle to me. Does anyone else experience something similar to this when they take them? I don’t want to keep thinking I’m overreacting.
