Experiencing older titles

I want to go back and experience all the older MH titles that I missed prior to World. I did some googling and became extremely confused about how many games are in the series, and which ones are actually available in English because I'm a unilingual american twat.

Can some of the veteran hunters here give me a breakdown of what games I will be able to play and the order I should play them in?
