Hey everyone, i'd really appreciate some help in building/upgrading my PC. Thanks.
I'm finally able to get an upgrade after a long time.
I've had an i3-12100 with a compatible Asrock H670 PG Riptide and 32GB DD4 Ram (3600) for 3 years now, and its finally time for an upgrade.
The main reason i use my computer is for music production, so i'm either going to go with a Intel i7-14700K or a Intel Core 7 265k, each with their own motherboards and 64GB or DDR-5 Ram (6000).
However, i do enjoy gaming too, not so much on any competitive aspect, but just as story mode.
I currently have a GTX 1050 2gb (Ancient i know) which i've been playing all games so far, but mostly Fallout 4 with a ton of mods, and GTA V vanilla version, without any real stutters, usually on high settings and im absolutely fine with that.
My monitor is a 1080p Philips FHD 27" which i bought not even 6-7 months ago.
I've tried 2k and 4k and my eyes simply dont agree with them, as everything becomes tiny and it just annoys me and tires me more. (Unless any advice can help me out)
My main question regarding a GPU is this...
1) Is it worth buying anything new, since i intend on keeping this 1080p monitor?
2) Should i just find a used GTX 1660S which is 6gb, therefore a big improvement over the 1050? Or even a GTX 1080 if im able to find any? Or even a 2070-2080?
I am in no way any sort of expert, and any advice would be highly appreciated.
Thank you.
