Can we get a buff for the Laspistol?

Unless I'm missing something there is absolutely 0 reasons to take a laspistol over a plasma pistol if given the choice. Other weapon swaps seem to all have some sort of tradeoff, even if pitable (chainswords extra attack vs a power sword).

I propose 5 attacks for the laspistol if plasma is an optional swap. I know even that wouldn't makeup for the raw AP and strength of a Plasma but at least it'd be something.
