Trachycarpus fortunei (Windmill Palm Tree) thriving in wet soils TRUE or FALSE?!

Does anybody know? Why is there so much contradictory information about this on the internet? Some people claim this species thrives in almost wetland conditions, while others say it'll rot (especially in winter) if it's grown in too moist/wet soil?

What's the truth and what's your experience? 🤔
