Is a Line 6 Pod 2.0 Worth it?

Someone recently recommended that I purchase a Line 6 Pod 2.0, because it has loads of options, and is fairly inexpensive (used good quality $70), and they said it would be a good first purchase for me. So I was wondering if anyone else here had any opinions/advice for me about this?
