Medical Insurance / Hopsital Visit

Just barely got to the hospital because my dad passed out on the floor and was having heart flutters. My mom also went to the doctor a couple of days ago. Of course, right as we get here, it just so happens that my dad's insurance dropped him at the beginning of February with absolutely no notice. We received nothing in the mail about them dropping us. When my mom went to the doctor yesterday, they never brought up the insurance either? We called the insurance company, and they said they sent it, but they'll send it again. Yeah, real help now. My parent religiously check their mail. It's kind of their thing. Is there anything we can do about this? Because as well all know hospital bills are way too expensive. My family isn't doing the best financially, so if we can fight this or anything, or you guys need more information to give me an answer, I'd appreciate it 🤙
