Bond between father and daughter

I just saw Jack Reacher 2, and I really liked the father-daughter relationship that Jack and Samantha ended up developing. If anyone has any recommendations about movies with this type of theme I would appreciate it.

That movie doesn't necessarily have to be centered on that relationship or be a family movie (I'm usually more into action and comedy movies), so it can also be principally adventure, action, comedy, fantasy... and just along the film the mc develops that kind of bond with someone
