Thanks for the reply. I will say, they never explicitly used that language, (and for me, it probably would have given me the ick if someone said that to my face irl 😅), I was using it as a term for the sake of a Reddit thread. But yeah, they have two serious longterm partners, so I know where, and am generally happy, with where I stand, other than trying to navigate this one situation. Appreciate your response!

I will say, I don’t feel like there’s been pressure put on me to provide emotional support for their loss and I don’t feel like it’s having a negative impact on me, but I completely understand what you’re saying and am actively prioritizing my own mental health over that situation.
